Tummy time turned into a little nap

Sweet baby

Brothers

Ethan really is a good big brother (most of the time, anyway!) He tries to be so helpful. He gets excited to get Wyatt up from his naps to feed him and "helps" us burp him. Ethan will also often point to Wyatt's diaper, stick his nose close, take a sniff, then go running across the house and come back carrying a handful of Wyatt's diapers. Such a funny guy!

Update

I guess it is probably time for a new blog post. We are still adjusting around here. Things are going well, though. I have successfully taken a couple of outings with both boys by myself and gotten where I was going on time. That is really quite a feat. Let me tell you....I had forgotten how much longer it takes to get out of the house with a new baby along!

Last weekend, we all went to a local farm to pick our own blueberries. Ethan had a good time, although we had trouble getting him to pick just the ripe ones! Wyatt was along for the ride, but I didn't get any pictures of him at the farm. He slept through the whole thing.

Both boys had their well child checks this past week. At 18 months, Ethan is a whooping 28.2lbs and healthy as can be. We need to try to work with him more on the language development, but hopefully that will start coming along in the next few months. At two weeks, Wyatt weighed in at 6lbs. 7oz!! I was super excited that he made it up past his birth weight. He's doing great and becoming more alert all the time. He got his first real bath tonight and he loved it! He was so calm during the whole thing, until we took him out. One thing's for sure--he loves to be warm and cozy! Pretty much the only time he cries is during diaper or clothes changes. He really is such a good baby.

Home Alone

My parents left us today. So, we are officially home alone for the first time in about a month and a half. We don't know what to do with ourselves. I haven't cooked or cleaned or done anything for so long. I seriously think I may have forgotten how to take care of things. I'm a little nervous for Monday when Ben goes to work and I have to learn to be a mom of two all by myself! We can't express how much we appreciate our Moms for taking time out of their lives to come stay with us and help us through my pregnancy and recovery. We couldn't have done it without you both! Thanks also to our Dads, who gave up their wives for so long. Our boys are so lucky to have such wonderful grandparents. We love you!

All American Boys

Happy 4th of July!
Here are my patriotic boys--

My mom is still here to help me out and Ben's parents came up to see Wyatt for the weekend, so we have had a full weekend. It's so nice to be home. Wyatt is doing great and Ethan has been so good with him, so far. Of course, we have had grandmas and grandpas around to help entertain and distract. I hope he will still like his baby brother when we get back to normal life!
