Happy Halloween

My boys were a cowboy and a horse for Halloween this year. We went to a couple trunk-or-treats and a little Halloween party this weekend, so we had lots of fun and too much candy!

Ethan made a cute cowboy, but he didn't want to keep his hat on at all. Ben insisted that we buy him an actual pair of boots. He was looking pretty good in them. Wyatt was a tired pony and slept through a lot of our Halloween activities.

Visit

My boys sure love it when their grandparents visit. Grammy Schrant came to see us this weekend. It was a fast trip, but Ethan and Wyatt enjoyed every minute. Thanks for coming to see us!

Farm Fun

We went to a local farm this afternoon with a Mom's group that I am a part of. It was supposed to be a family event, but Ben is out of town, so it was just me and the boys. But, there were lots of friends to play with and fun things to do. We jumped in a straw pile, played in a hay bale maze, rode on tricycles, smelled flowers, looked at pumpkins, and ate some yummy food at a bonfire! We sure missed Daddy, though.



The sun was in a bad spot for this picture, but I thought it was cute to have both Ethan and Wyatt looking through!

We went out to the lake today with Lauren and Lexie to enjoy the nice fall weather. Ethan played on the big swings for the first time today. He has also started to talk quite a bit more. He even started saying Wyatt's name today! Wyatt is still his cute little baby-self. He is smiling and cooing a lot now. His neck is getting a bit stronger, but he's still not able to hold his own head.

Weekend

My parents came to visit this weekend and we had a great time. My mom's birthday was on Saturday and we were so glad to get to celebrate with her.

Ben was gone all weekend camping for a bachelor party for his friend Matt. I'm sure he had a great time, but the boys and I sure missed him!

On Friday, we went to the high school homecoming parade. We met up with some friends there and enjoyed the floats and such.

Some of Ben's classmates from med school came to visit for the weekend. We had a great time with Josh and Wendy. It was so nice to see them again. We also enjoyed the Red Barn Festival on Saturday. It was a busy, but super fun weekend!
Tomorrow we get our family pictures taken. It's time for Wyatt to join the family. We have a bunch of pictures hanging in the house with just three of us, so we need to update. Here's hoping we get at least a couple of pictures where everyone is looking okay. This could be a challenge. Ethan isn't super cooperative when it comes to photo time and Wyatt has been struggling with a cold, so we'll see how this goes. But really...how bad could it be with these two cuties?!
