Goodbyes

We went to my grandpa's funeral today.  He died less than three months after my grandma.  To honor his service, the VFW came out on their motorcycles and held flags as we walked into the church and some Navy sailors were at the cemetary to play taps and fold the flag for our family.  He fought his cancer hard lived much longer than the doctors thought.  We said goodbye today thankful that he is no longer in pain.

Big Boy Beds

I finally moved Ethan  up to a bigger bed, so that I could get Wyatt out of the crib.  Tonight was Wy's first night in the toddler bed.  It's taking him a little longer to go to sleep, but he's doing pretty well!  He sure looked cute (and so big) laying there tonight!

Ethan was loving his bigger boy bed, too!

PS.  Keep scrolling down.  I am so, so far behind.  We have had a busy summer and I have had no motivation to blog.  This is my attempt to catch up on this month's activities.

Summer Fun

Ethan has loved having a garden this year.  He goes out to check on it two or three times a day and get so excited when he finds something to pick.

Bike Ride

The other day it was so nice here--like 20 or more degrees cooler than it has been for months.  So we went out for a bike ride with our friends!  I'm sure we looked like a bike parade, but it was a super fun time!

VBS

This summer Ethan was able to attend Vacation Bible School at our church.  I helped out with games for the preschoolers.  We had a great time!  I think the praise and worship time was his favorite.  I loved watching him and the other preschoolers sing and dance.  So cute!

Happy 4th of July

Here are the boys at the 4th of July parade.  It was hot--pretty much like everyday this summer!
