Brotherly Love

Ethan was so cute with Wyatt today. He gave him lots of big hugs and was very gentle with him.
I love my sweet boys!

Happy Birthday!

Turns out today is a good day for a birthday. I woke up with a lot of bleeding and some contractions, so our little one got to make his big debut earlier than we were planning. Everything went great for both of us and we are so happy he made it here safely!

Poor Ethan wasn't so sure about his baby brother at first, but he seemed to warm up to him.
Wyatt has quite a bit of dark hair and dark blue eyes for now. He has the cutest little whimper going on today. We think he is absolutely adorable and a perfect addition to our family.

Bath time

Ethan was really cute in the bath tub last night. He was full of smiles and so cute splashing around!


The baby is doing great this week. The doctor appointment and hospital tests all went well on Thursday. They tell me that he is around 6lbs 1oz, so that's great. We'd like to get a little more weight on him before he arrives, but I was really happy to hear he was probably over the 6lb mark. In some ways it seems like this baby will never get here. I mean, having a month and a half of bedrest was not my idea of a good time. But, I still can't believe that it's only another week and a half until we have another baby. Crazy!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my Dad and Ben's Dad! Thanks for all you have done for us. We love you both very much!
Ethan also says Happy Father's Day to his Daddy! He's so lucky to have one of the best around!
Ethan wasn't feeling up to par most of the day, so the daddy/son picture isn't as happy as sometimes.

Getting closer

I haven't blogged much this week. It's not for lack of time, but more for lack of material. Bed rest is boring. I hate it, actually. I feel fine, so it is so hard to not do things. Everytime I get to leave the house, it's like a treat. Sad, really sad. Both grandmas have been really great, but I wish everyday that I could be the one playing with Ethan, taking him on walks, and just picking him up. I'm lucky that I am at home and not at the hospital, so I shouldn't complain, but still...I will be so glad when this is all over. We are getting closer. The baby is scheduled to come three weeks from tomorrow.

Ethan has been his usual happy self. He is getting spoiled by all the attention that grandmas are giving him.

New Digs

We got all moved into our new house this past weekend. We had a lot of help. Several guys came over to do the heavy lifting and Ben's mom helped us arrange much of the house and do lots of cleaning. My parents were able to help after they arrived, as well. Ben is still working hard on various projects and I have done a lot of sitting and pointing. I felt so badly having everyone else work so hard while I watched, but everyone was so nice. We couldn't have done it without all the help. So, thank you to everyone! I can't tell you how much we appreciate it.

We also put Ethan in a toddler bed this week. He loved it at first and wanted to be in it right away. He fell out immediately and looked up at me like he had no idea what had just happened. He has, of course, figured out that he can get out of bed whenever he wants, but he has adjusted fairly well.

More Rest

I continue to struggle with this pregnancy, so I was placed on strict bedrest yesterday. We are hoping to make it to 36 or 37 weeks for delivery. Tentatively, we have scheduled the c-section for July 8, but it all depends on how things go between now and then. My mom and Ben's mom are being so nice to come up to help us this month and try to get us through these next few weeks. Baby brother has already been a challenging baby and he isn't even here yet!

Today is our 6th anniversary; so hard to believe it's been that long! We are also trying to move this weekend. Well, Ben is trying to move. I'm just watching. He and a couple of guys moved some of our things into the garage yesterday and will do some more with his brother over the weekend.
