Mama Said There'd Be Days Like This...

We had one of those days today. You know the ones where you shouldn't have even gotten up. We got all around and dressed for church and bundled up on this very, very cold day. We ran out to the van got buckled in and headed down the street. About 4 blocks from our house the van started to bounce. Ben got out to check and, sure enough, we had a flat tire. So, we trekked back to the house (again, it's about 2 degrees this morning). Ben changed and went back out to see what he could do. He decided to drive down to the the van, which sounds like a good idea, but guess what...yeah, the car won't start. How is that possible? Both cars on the same day?! Really? Ben called a friend over to help him out. Thank goodness for friends like Erick! It was way to cold to be doing this today. Anyway, they get the tire off the van and the spare on. They drive back to the house and try to jump the car. No luck. Off to Wal-Mart to fix the tire and buy a battery. 3 hours later....we didn't make it to church, but we now have an inflated tire on the van and a car that starts.
Ethan and I stayed in the warm house all morning, so thanks Ben and Erick! We all appreciate having cars that work.

Oh gosh! We had car troubles too! These midwest winters are not friends of our car batteries!

BTW, love the new header!
