Brothers

The boys have been playing together really well most of the time.  They are so different from each other, but I love how they are developing into such buddies.  We were at Burger King the other day and Ethan helped lift Wyatt up to the step so he could go down  the slide with him--over and over again.  They were having such fun together and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.  Every time Ethan would grunt just a little and say "you're a heavy boy!"  He was pulling on Wy's shorts and pushing his bum up to the step like a champ, though. He wanted Wyatt to be able to play and go down the slide with him.  So cute!
Ethan continues to enjoy our garden.  He checks it at least once a day and gets excited to pick something and show it to me.  Wyatt is growing up so fast and could play outside and dig in the dirt all day long.  Last night they were playing in Ethan's bed before bedtime and they wanted to sleep together.  I knew it wouldn't last, but I told them they could try, but they would have to be quiet or I had to separate them.  Wyatt, of course, couldn't help himself and was playing and laughing.  Pretty soon, Ethan comes out of his room and tells me that Wyatt is not being quiet and I should take him to his room.  Ha!  Funny boys!

1st Day

Today was Ethan's first day of preschool.  His teacher, Ms. Lisa is super nice and I think he will have a blast this year.  He had a great first day with a good report from his teacher saying he was smart and helpful!  No tears, so that is a victory in and of itself!  MeMa and PaPa took us out to eat at Burger King (Ethan's choice) to celebrate the first day.

Goodbyes

We went to my grandpa's funeral today.  He died less than three months after my grandma.  To honor his service, the VFW came out on their motorcycles and held flags as we walked into the church and some Navy sailors were at the cemetary to play taps and fold the flag for our family.  He fought his cancer hard lived much longer than the doctors thought.  We said goodbye today thankful that he is no longer in pain.

Big Boy Beds

I finally moved Ethan  up to a bigger bed, so that I could get Wyatt out of the crib.  Tonight was Wy's first night in the toddler bed.  It's taking him a little longer to go to sleep, but he's doing pretty well!  He sure looked cute (and so big) laying there tonight!

Ethan was loving his bigger boy bed, too!

PS.  Keep scrolling down.  I am so, so far behind.  We have had a busy summer and I have had no motivation to blog.  This is my attempt to catch up on this month's activities.
