Some friends of ours went to Hawaii over Christmas and brought back a cute little outfit for Ethan. Looking at him today makes me want to lay on the beach with a frozen drink or do the hula or something like that. But, this is as close as we are getting to Hawaii for awhile. Anyway, thanks to Kendall and Marilyn for the Hawaiian dreams. Ethan says Aloha!

Nothing much has happened here lately. Ethan had a little bit of a cold at the beginning of the week, but it was really mild. I am still fighting with one. Ben had it last week and passed it on to us. I had a dentist appointment to get a couple of fillings done. I hate that. It really wasn't that bad, but I still hate it. Lauren was so nice and took a long lunch break to watch the kiddos, so that I could go to my appointment. Other than that, Ben has worked a lot this week and is on call all weekend.
Ethan has been pretty cute this week and here are some grandparent-requested pictures.

Success

I posted a video last week of Ethan trying to make his bbbb sounds. He accomplished it yesterday. He was so funny. He was "talking" to Ben and they were making the noise back and forth. He was so excited when he did it. This is the first noise that he has purposely tried to make. I messed up again, though....this video is sideways and I can't figure out how to turn it around.

Family update

I don't have an exciting title for this post. We don't have a lot going on this week, but I thought I would write while I have a few minutes. Ethan had his six month shots yesterday. He did better this time than the previous two. He wasn't his usual happy self, but that's probably to be expected. In the past week, he has started to get his little toes into his mouth. They must taste pretty good, because he sure seems to enjoy sucking on them.
As for Ben and I, well, it's pretty much the same old stuff. Ben's enjoying being done with his internship. He keeps saying how glad he is that it's over. He's been going fishing in the evenings several times a week. It's been pretty nice here lately. I am keeping busy with the kids. I have been going to the gym in the evenings (after Ben gets done fishing) with a friend of mine. We are going to run in a 5K race this Thursday evening. I am so much slower than I used to be....it's sad, really. Anyway, we won't win or anything, but I enjoy the atmosphere of a race and it should be a good time.
