Tornado!

To all who have heard...we did have a tornado here in Kirksville yesterday. We are just fine. It hit maybe a mile or so north of us. Several of our friends were affected, though, as it hit a neighborhood filled with medical student families. The community and school are really doing a lot to help those in need. The damage is pretty amazing in some places. If you want to see pictures, you can check out one of my friend's blog. Anyway, don't worry about us, we are all safe. Those who did get hit could sure use your prayers, though!

Shots again

Today was shot day again. He did better this time than last time, but he was still a little unhappy. We had a moment around 2:00, but thankfully Daddy was here to help me out. We'll feel better tomorrow I'm sure.

Happy Mother's Day!

It's my first Mother's Day! I have such a wonderful little boy...I can't imagine anything better. Being a mom has changed my whole life and I wouldn't want it any other way. Ethan's doctor appointment went well on Friday. He is now 16 lbs 2 oz and 26.5 in long! He's in the 75 percentile for his weight and 80th for his height! What a big boy! I can't believe we were worried about him gaining weight at the beginning. He sure has made up for it!

Happy Mother's Day to Ethan's grandmas and great-grandmas too! We are so lucky to have you in our lives and we love you all.

Thanks to my parents for coming to keep Ethan and I company over the weekend. Ethan had so much fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa. You wore him out! After you left, he was asleep in less than two minutes!

My sweet boy...

4 months

Today Ethan is 4 months old! He's getting so big. He is smiling a lot and starting to laugh. And, as you can see, he's grasping toys. We go to the doctor tomorrow for his well child visit, so I'll have to post his height and weight later. Ben is going to go camping with is friend Matt for the weekend and my parents are going to come up to visit Ethan and I, so it will be nice to have some company for the weekend.

First Day

Today was my first day with Lexie! We made it and things went pretty well today. Lexie is such a sweetheart.

Both kids had a runny nose today, so I was covered in snot! At one point, I was using the suction bulb thing on Lexie to clean her out and Ethan was watching. She was upset at me for messing with her and my Ethan starting laughing at her. I couldn't believe it! I grabbed the camera and shot a little video.
