Sometimes I Forget

Sometimes I forget what a great husband I have
Sometimes I forget that he'd rather be home with the family than working long hours
Sometimes I forget that I have nothing to complain about
Sometimes I forget that feeling sorry for myself doesn't help anything
Sometimes I forget that I am so, so blessed to be a stay at home mommy
Sometimes I forget....

Then my wonderful husband brings me home these--

and I remember that I'm the luckiest girl I know

Snuggles

I love it when Ethan snuggles up to me. He's so sweet.

I thought that the little guy was getting over all the RSV and such, but then he got an ear infection during the first part of the week. These past couple of days he has finally started to feel better. I even got him to eat vegetables again, which is a huge improvement. He'll be good as new before long.

Visitors!

We had lots of visitors this past week.
Ben's mom and brother came up to visit us Thursday and Friday.

Then, my parents came up over the weekend to see us.

It was so nice to see everyone. Ethan was not feeling the best, but he loved all the playtime and books and cuddles! He misses all the attention, for sure. He's still trying to kick this little virus he has going. In addition to the cough and snotty nose, he's thrown up once and had some nasty diarrhea....fun times. Poor guy--he usually loves eating, but nothing has tasted good to him this past week. He's surviving on bananas and yogurt currently. I'm pretty sure he's over the worst of it, or at least I hope so!

Unemployed...

That's me...I'm officially unemployed. This was supposed to be my last week with Lexie because her daddy is done with his rotations on Friday. But Lexie has been sick all week and they have decided to keep her home. So, I guess last week was it. Ethan will miss his friend, but I'm sure we'll still get together pretty often to play.

Ethan is still feeling sickly today, but I got him to smile for a few St. Patrick's Day pictures.

We went to a small parade this afternoon (and when I say small, I mean the smallest, lamest parade I have ever been to.) But here he is on Daddy's shoulders waiting for it to start.

Sickie

We have a bit of a sickie on our hands this week. Poor Lexie got really sick over the weekend and was diagnosed with RSV, so that's probably what we have going on, although we haven't been to the doctor and don't know for sure. It sounds like she has it much worse than we do, though. Ethan's just got the normal cold symptoms--sneezing, runny nose, and the nasty cough. On top of that he's getting in another tooth, so that's always a fun time. The good news is that he is being a good sport about it all. I have such a little sweetheart!

Outside!!

It was so nice today that we just had to go outside! This is the first time we have been able to play outside in I don't know how long. Ethan loves going out doors. He gets so excited when we get his coat. He knows he gets to go somewhere and he can't wait. Ethan, Lexie, and I went on a walk with a friend. Then, after Lexie went home for the day, Ethan and I went out to play. He loved walking up and down our sidewalk and playing with the rocks. He is such a little boy and pretty dang cute, too!

Here Ethan has a rock and he is saying "Ba!" He is trying so hard to talk to us, but everything is "ba" or "bu."

Dance Like No One is Watching...

Our little E-Man has started dancing to the music on his toys. It cracks us up to watch him rock back and forth. He even did it at church this past weekend to one of the hymns. I'm pretty sure the old ladies behind us got a kick out of him. Usually when I pull out the video camera, he stops and comes straight for the camera, so I was lucky to catch him for so long. He was really getting with it, too. What a funny guy!

I scream, you scream...

We all scream for ice cream!!

Another OB appt.

I had my monthly OB appointment today. We are doing just fine, but he did tell me that the ultrasound showed that my placenta was low. So, we have to do another ultrasound in a few weeks. They have to monitor the location because it could cause some problems. The main risk is that it may force a c-section delivery. Good news for me--that's what I was planning on having in the first place. Anyway, there's a good chance that it will correct itself, and like I said, there's not much change in my plans as far as the delivery is concerned.
